THE close of a long life spent in the Public Service of the Waterworks Dept S.A. ended on March 25, in Adelaide, with the death of Mr. Charles Newton Rice, of East Terrace, Clare at the age of 75 yrs. The late Mr. Rice retired from the Waterworks Dept., at Spalding some years ago on reaching the retiring age. He had rendered great service in his chosen calling and has a keen authority on the regulation and Waterworks problems associated with the development of rural areas. He had a wide circle of friends in the Mid North who regreat his decease. The widow survives and there is one son, Mr. Colin Rice and one daughter (Mrs Daisy Both). We extend sympathy to the bereaved family.[6]
