George Rice, 26, and Mary Ellen Creasap, 29, were married on 2 April 1914 in Marion, Ohio. They were both residents of Marion. It was the first marriage for both parties. Mary Ellen, a shoe factory employee, was born 7 January 1885 in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of J. W. Creasap and Lucy Bland. George, a carpenter, was born 26 August 1888 in Gallia, Ohio, the son of J. M. Rice and Katie Brown. The Reverend Walter A. King of Marion, Ohio, officiated.[1]
The son of George Rice and Mary Ellen Creasap (both born in Ohio), Harry Eugene Creasap was born 26 March 1917 at 228 Orchard, Marion, Marion, Ohio. He lived only 2 1/2 to 3 hours. He died of asphia neonaturium, and general disability in utero. George Rice, his father, was the informant to his death. Harry Eugene was buried at Marion Cemetery.[2]
