Biography

Sally was born in 1777. Sally is the child of John Rich and Emma Cross. ^[1]

Noted: She is possibly also listed as Sally Richardson m 31 Dec 1793 at Blue Hill Maine to William Davis, both of Mount Desert.

[Swan's Island] William Davis, a relative of Mr. Rich, came here also in 1794. He took up the lot of land adjoining Rich on the north, now owned by Oilman Staples. He left with Rich in 1797, and went to Long Island, which furnished a better harbor to shelter his boat, and was more convenient to pursue the fishing business. Mr. Davis has many descendants at Long Island.
