Biography

Louis was baptized 21 Oct 1822 in Memramcook. He is the son of Pierre Richard and Théotiste Ouellet.

Louis married Marguerite Belliveau 1 Feb 1853 in Memramcook. Parents are not listed but both spouses are said to be from Dorchester Parish. In the register entry, notes indicate that Louis is son of PIerrotte, while Marguerite is daughter of Jean Jospiau.

In 1861, Louis and members of his family were enumerated in the Dorchester Parish of Westmorland County as follows: Louis Richard 39; Margaret 34; Henry 7; Olive 6; Phillis 5; Filliman 4; Louis 3; Morris 2; Philip 6 months. Vital Myers (probably Maiilet) 22 was a school teacher boarding with the family.
