Catherine was born about 1778. She was christened on 18 Apr 1778 in Alston, Cumberland, England. Record indicates father as Thomas Richardson.[1][2]
George and Catherine were married 20 Apr 1799.[3]
Their children were:
- Betsy who was born in 1800, and christened with her brother William at Alston on March 14 1802. [4]
- William who was born in 1801 and christened at Alston on March 14 1802. [5]
- Thomas who was born in 1805, and christened at Alston on July 3 of that year. [6]
- George who was born in 1807, and christened at Alston on October 30 of that year. [7]
- Ann who was born in 1810, and christened at Alston on September 26 of that year. [8]
Research Note
The two eldest children were christened on the same date, and both are described in the sources as being 0 years of age. There seems to be a possibility that they were twins.
