Biography

Married 14 March 1676 to John Ketcham West Farms, Westchester, New York.[1]

She married Joseph Hunt in 1694. Torrey lists her as Bethia___. [2]

Note

The patent for West Farms was granted to John Richardson (father of Bethia) and Edward Jessup April 25, 1666. " Bounded east by the river called by the Indians Aquehung, otherwise Bronks river, westerly by a little brook called by the Indians Sackwrahung, and southward to the Sound at East river, including a certain neck called Quinahung." Edward Jessup had a daughter Elizabeth, who married Thomas Hunt, and his part came into their possession. The whole was divided in 1669, Thomas Hunt having the part still known as "Hunt's Point."[3]

Marriage date: above lists marriage date to Ketcham as March 14, but the source from familysearch says Feb 26. One may be the license date and the other the ceremony.

Listed as daughter of John Richardson and wife of John Ketcham in 1679 will of John Richardson. See familysearch under memories for unsourced image.

Two children with John Ketcham (Nathaniel and Joseph) listed on page 4 of book by Dorothy Chance.[4]

Two children with John Ketcham listed in book on McArthur family (Theophilus and Bethia, who each married a Reeder sibling).[5]

I have not been able to find a record of Bethia and Joseph Jr. marriage.

Richardson-260 and Richardson-4811 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse, marriage date incorrect in one record: John and Bethia Richardson obtained a marriage license on 26 February 1676/1677 at New York, married 14 March 1676/1677 at West Farms, Westchester Co., New York.
