1. ↑ LoSasso, William J., Email dated Thursday, September 16, 1999, titled, "Richardson Bonanza!!!!!!!!!" It contains information from the FallsVillage - Canaan Historical Society. Also included is information from a letter to the Historical Society that contains all the children of William Richardson and Esther Barnes, dates, spouses, etc. Also confirms the parentage of Esther Barnes and the burial place of William and Esther.
2. ↑ "To the Glory of God and in Loving Memory of Those Who Rest In The Old East Canaan Burying Ground." The "Book of Remembrance" lists the names of 126 people who are buried in the field behind the North Canaan Congregational Church. The headstones were removed sometime prior to 1976. This was done by a pastor who thought the field would make a good ball field and help keep the boys of the town off the street.
