Biography

Jemima Ann Ricketts, female, was born in Hobart, 12 March 1841, to Samuel Ricketts and Margaret Ricketts, formerly Bruce. At the time of Jemima's birth, Samuel was a P.C. according to the informant, Margaret Ricketts, mother, of Green Patch. The birth was registered 21 July 1841 by John Stott (?), Deputy Registrar. ^[1]

Jemima was born in 1841. She is the daughter of Samuel Ricketts and Margaret Bruce. ^[2]

The marriage of Jemima Ann Rickets [sic], minor, spinster, to William Chamberlain junior, of full age, bachelor, mariner, took place 5 March 1861 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Melville Street, Hobart Town. The marriage was officiated by William Drew Lelean, and witnessed by John McArthur and Mary Ann Ricketts.^[3]

The death of Jemima A Chamberlain, child of Samuel and Margaret, was registered in 19/27 in Sutherland, New South Wales, Australia.^[4]
