Dr. LeRoy Riddell, brother of Dr. George Riddell, was born in Colrain, Mass., September 11, 1833. When he was three and a half years of age his father removed to the town of Canisteo, and located on the farm now owned by Isaac A. Cooley, about a mile south of the village. He received his education in this town and at the Alfred University, and his degree from the Medical University of New York, in March, 1863. He began practice in this town in partnership with his brother which partnership continued for twenty years.
