Biography

Louis Andrew "LA" Ridings was born in 1882 in Fannin co, Tx and died on 23 Jan 1947 in Bethany, Ok co, Oklahoma. He is the son of Overton Lewis Ridings-(1837-1922) and Mary Elizabeth Whisenhunt-(1849-1912).

He married Sarah Elizabeth Jenkins-(1886-1984), on 7 march 1903 in Fannin co, Texas. Together they had these children listed below;

• Essie Ridings, Norsworthy-(1904-1984),
• Seth Clarence Ridings-(1905-1960),
• Mary Lona Ridings, Green-(1907-1984),
• Elbert Paul Ridings-(1910-2000),
• Douglas Lee Ridings-(1915-1967),
• Dorothy Mae Ridings-(1921-2004),

Bio: Services will be conducted in the Fine Arts auditorium, Bethany Peniel college, at 3:30 pm Sunday for L. A. Ridings, 64, Bethany building contractor.

Ridings, a resident of Bethany since 1925, died Thursday in his home after a short illness. Burial will be in the Bethany cemetery under the direction of Merritt funeral home.
