Ridings-490 and Ridings-261 appear to represent the same person because: Their parents and information match.

I'm wondering if this person shouldn't be Jesse Joseph Ridings 1777-1850 who married Mary Wentworth Poindexter 1775-1863 in 1804.

Hello. From the records I can find, you are correct. I shall initiate a merge of the two profiles.

The mom got married in '57 and had her first child in '70? not likely . . .

Unfortunately, I am not sure how to correct this information. They lived before census records began to record the names of wives and children, and family history records on the Ridings family are scarce. Most are merely mentioned in other family histories, and the Ancestry Family Trees are little help.

It might be more likely that all the children are born of Anna and not of Sarah. Should I edit their parentage to have Anna replace Sarah?
