Biography

Elsie Riggs was born in Oregon in 1876. She was the daughter of Francis Marion Riggs and Mary Elizabeth Donaldson. She married John H. Darnall in1894. They had a son, Boyd, in 1896. The couple soon separated. The 1900 census finds Elsie and her son living in the household of Albert Wing and his wife, Mary, Elsie's older sister. She remarried in 1947 to Orin J. Gray. Orin passed way in 1952. Elsie passed away at the age of 102 in 1978.
