DEATH OF W. IRVING RILEY.

W. IRVING RILEY died of pleuro pneumonia on Tuesday evening, February 20, 1917, at Pisgah, Md., after a short illness. He was the son of the late Terrence Riley, who in the early 50s was a prominent merchant of this city and whom many of the older residents remember as proprietor of the Greenleaf Steam Coffee Mills, the only business of its kind at that time and for many years after in this section. The deceased, who spent the early part of his life, in this city, was forty-nine years of age, and for twenty years or more had resided in Maryland.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Episcopal Church at Pisgah on Thursday afternoon, February 22, and he was laid to rest in the churchyard. A sister, Mrs. L. R. Spofford of Alexandria, Va., survives him.
