Biography

Maria was born on 9 June 1796, in Wonsheim. [1]

She married Jacob Partenheimer, on 3 May 1817, in Wonsheim. They had three children: [1][2][3][4]

Katharine Partenheimer
Martin Partenheimer
Jacob Partenheimer

In 1850, she was living with her family in ward 7, Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, County, Pennsylvania. [2]

In 1860, she was living with her family in ward 19, Philadelphia. Her husband was not there, and presumably had died. [3]

In 1870, she was living in Marlborough Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, with her children Jacob and Cathrine. [4]

In 1880, she was still living in Marlborough Township, with her children Jacob and Catherine. They were all reportedly 'maimed, crippled, bedridden, or otherwise disabled'. [5] [6]

Research Notes

A Maria Partenheimer is buried in the same cemetery as Jacob and Maria's sons Martin and Jacob. But the memorial claims her birth name was Cooper, and her birth date was 24 June 1793. She died on 24 July 1881. (See Find A Grave: Memorial #116396559.)
