Buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
Obituary: DIED in Steuben township, Jul 12, 1894, Henry Ritter, aged 91 years, 3 months and 8 days. Mr. Ritter was born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, April 4, 1803. He was the father of five children, two preceding him to the spirit world. He leaves an aged companion, two brothers, three sisters, three daughters, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, with a host of friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held at Mount Zion church, attended by a large concourse of friends. The services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Albright. STEUBEN REPUBLICAN Wednesday, July 18, 1894, p. 8, col. 4.
