John was born in 1854[1] He was the son of David Roach and Elizabeth Warlow.

He was living with his parents and siblings in Freystrop, Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1861[2]

He was stil living with his parents and siblings in Freystrop, Pembrokeshire, Wales and he was working as a coal miner in 1871[3]

He married Sarah Russell in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1880[4]

He was living with his wife in Burton, Pembrokeshire, Wales and he was working as a labourer in 1881[5]

He was living with his wife and children in Llandyfodog, Glamorganshire, Wales and he was working as a collier in 1891[6]

He was still living with his wife and children still in Llandyfodwg, Glamorgan, Wales and he working as a coal miner in 1901[7]

He was still living with them still in Llandyfodog, Glamorganshire, Wales and he was working as a assurance agent in 1911[8]

He passed away in Bridgend, Glamorganshire, Wales in 1923[9]
