Biography

Rebecca first married Thomas Boleware then R. G. Garner The Roberts family it was very hard to determine which Rebecca belonged to who. Their father Joseph Robert's wife was Rebecca and they had a daughter Rebecca (Becca) and the only known sister of Joseph at the time was Rebecca Roberts born abt 1818 that married Linear Rankin, then sons Phillip Roberts and John Roberts each had a Rebecca. Rebecca A Roberts was daughter of John and Melinda Rebecca N was daughter of Phillip and Janie. This was all ironed out at the John and Jacob Roberts family reunion by a direct descendent of Rebecca A Roberts. She married Reuben L Cone and both are buried in Goodwater Cemetery. In the 1880 Census Rebecca N. Roberts, daughter of Phillip Roberts and Janie, was age 19, already married to Thomas Boleware age 25, and had a son Duncan Boleware age 1. While Rebecca A. daughter of John Roberts and Melinda was single and still in the hh of her parents. Since information from Rev. Bishop years ago on Rebecca and Linear Rankin we have found another sister of Joseph Roberts, Senthie Roberts that married William Lang and lived in Kemper County, Mississippi.

• 1880 Census, Mount Carmel, Covington County, Mississippi, Rebecca Boleware age 19, Thomas Boleware 25, with son Duncan 1. There was a daughter Lena Boleware born about 1886 that was on the 1910 Census with her step-father spelled Revanah G. Garner age 67. Will try to find her.

Rebecca is buried in the Mount Zion Methodist Cemetery, Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi and her marker states she is the wife of R. G. Garner.
