Mary Roberts was born in about 1814 in Guilsfield, Montgomeryshire.

Mary married Edward Meredith on 29 Oct 1843 at St Peter's Church in Liverpool, Lancashire, by licence. Both were of full age (21 or more), and neither had been married before. Edward was a servant, resident in Oswestry, Shropshire; Mary was living in Pembroke Place, Liverpool. Their fathers were named as Edward Meredith (labourer) and Thomas Roberts (labourer). The witnesses were Robert Young and Harriet Young.

Their daughter Jane Meredith was born in 1845 in Rainford, Lancashire.

Their son George Meredith was born in 1846 in Rainford, Lancashire.

Mary died in 1874 in St Helens, aged 66. She was buried on 20 Apr 1874 in St Helens Cemetery.

Edward died in 1877 in St Helens, aged 67. He was buried on 10 Sep 1877 with his wife.
