James Robins was born in England about 1803. He farmed in the township of Innisfil, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. He married Ann Gimby on May 6, 1841. He passed away on March 19, 1883. His death certificate lists the cause of death as "Kick of a horse". He was 80 years 6 months old at the time of his death, which makes his birthday circa September 19, 1802. ^[1]
