He never married and was a Nailer by occupation as well as a Churchwarden^[1].

The Forest of Dean Family History Trust, Record ID 127516, has his burial date as 24 February 1776, at Littledean Parish Chapel, Gloucestershire, England, having passed away on 23 February 1776 age 74 years according to Bigland Transcripts of Littledean, which shows that it is on his tombstone at Littledean Churchyard. His burial date and location is confirmed in the Ancestry record, which adds that it was in the Parish of Dean Parva, County of Gloucestershire.

Phillip Robinson's last Will and Testament^[2] was written on 19 February 1766, he being of Little Dean in the County of Gloucester, with the principal beneficiary his brother John Robinson (1709-1785), his other brother Giles (1705-1759) having predeceased him. Also frequently mentioned is his kinsman John Robinson (1712-1784), a Maltster.

Phillip's probate extract adds little to the above other than: Collection: Gloucestershire: - Wills Proved in the Court of Bishop of Gloucester, 1660-1800 Volume: Calendar of Gloucestershire Mills. Proved in the Consistory Court of the Bishop of Gloucester.
