Biography

Jessie was born in Cleethorpes[1] on 6 May 1885[2] and she was the daughter of Thomas Robinson, a Fish Merchant, and Cornelia Agnes Wheeler; her birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1885 in the Caistor district.[3]

In 1901 she was a pupil at the Elmwood Boarding School in Harrogate.[1]

Jessie married Hartington Adams, the Director and Secretary of a Steam Trawling Company, and their marriage was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1912 in the Grimsby district.[4]

In the 1939 register Jessie, Hartington and their son John lived at Southlands in Kings Road in Cleethorpes. Jessie was a volunteer with the British Red Cross Society.[2]
