Edward was born on 9 May 1888 in Olathe, Kansas. He was the son of Marcus G. Robinson and Catherine Victoria (Allen) Robinson.^[1]

In the 1900 census Edward (age 12) was living in Kearney, Clay, Missouri, USA. Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head: Son.^[2]

When Edward was 32 he married Ada Mildred Wells on 23 November 1920 in Longmont, Boulder, Colorado, USA. The couple had 8 children: William Earl Robinson, Ann Robinson, Juanita Frances Nita Robinson, Betty Jane Robinson Swegart, Dorothy Robinson, Maudine Helen Robinson, Richard Floyd Robinson and Gerald Edward Jerry Robinson.^[3]

In the 1940 census Edward (age 51) was living in Boulder, Boulder, Colorado, USA. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head: Head.^[4]
