Three years after their marriage, on the evening of 15 Oct 1896, she died suddenly in her home in Haverstraw after suffering convulsions and becoming unconscious; she died the following day, 16 Oct., at 4:30 pm. She was buried at Mount Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, New York.[8] She had no children.
