Biography

Hugh married Jane Berry in 1807 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[1]

In 1850, Hugh, age 64 was living in Ellis County, Texas, with James Robinson, 18. James may be Hugh's son or grandson.

The family next to them is that of Joab and Elizabeth Watson. There's a death certificate for a Jane Farmer that lists her parents as Joab Watson and Betsey Robinson; if that Jane is the same person as Sophia J. Watson on the 1850 census, then Elizabeth's maiden name is Robinson, and it's likely that Hugh is her father or other relative. More evidence is needed, however.
