John was born about 1800. He is the son of Thomas Rodd and Mary Tapp. ^[1]

John married Elizabeth Fuker in 1832. ^[2]

In 1841, John, a farmer, and Elizabeth are living in Rose Ash with children Florance (9), John (7), and Mary (5). ^[3]

In 1851, John, a farmer of 12 acres, and "Eliza" are living on Piercy Farm in Rose Ash with children John, 16, and Mary Ann, 15. ^[4]

In 1861, John is an agricultural labourer and he and Elizabeth are living in Rose Ash with daughter Florence, 29. ^[5]

In 1871, John and Elizabeth are probably the John (butcher) and Elizabeth Rood living in Rose Ash with daughter Florence, 39 and son John, 37. ^[6]

John died in 1876. ^[7]
