No. 251 2/201 On March 10, 1825 William RODDY sold to H. S. THIBODAUX land situate in Terrebonne Parish, 4 arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, to such depth as the Certificate of Confirmation calls for, bounded above by lands of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by lands of veuve Julien CROCHET for $5000.00, in payments of $1000.00 for 5 years. Witnessed by Lemuel TANNER and Jacob JOHNSTON.

No. 252 2/202 On March 17, 1826 Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL sold to William RODDY for $47.86 part of mortgage, that being the same Pre. Bin ROUSSEL has obtained from Ambroise DUGAS. Refrence No. 236. Witnessed by Auguste VERRET and H. C. THIBODAUX.

No. 319 2/242 On November 26, 1825 H. S. THIBODAUX sold land to William RODDY, Catherine THOMAS (his wife), John CLARK and Mary Magdelen RODDY (his wife) to wit: about 13 miles from Bayou Lafourche on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, 10 arpens front, with depth as certificate of confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of H. S. THIBODAUX and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX and slaves Charles 30 years old, Ben 26 years old, for $4000.00. Witnessed by A. GROSS and John REIDT.

No. 343 M. 1/48 On Janurary 2, 1826 William RODDY Sr. transfers a mortgage to Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL, a merchant in Thibodaux, for $16.87 1/2 , part of mortgage from Ambroise DUGAS on tract of land No. 236. Witnessed by Jh. DELAPORTE and L. B. THIBODAUX.

No. 361 2/272 On March 28, 1826 William RODDY sold to Lemuel TANNER a Negro boy named Harry, age 27 years old, for $ 700.00. Witnessed by Jh. DELAPORTE and Antoine BARRAS pere.

No. 376 2/280 On June 8, 1826 William RODDY and Catherine THOMAS, his wife, and Charles KLEINPETER, acting as the attorney of Mrs. Elizabeth THOMAS, widow of the late Henry THOMAS, both of the Parish of East Baton Rouge, declare for $ 762.46 that they were owing to the estate of Mary Barbary THOMAS. Accepting in the name of the Mrs. Elizabeth THOMAS, widow Henry THOMAS, the following slaves, a mulatto boy named Isaac 13 years old and a Negro boy 11 years old. Witnessed by I. DOZER and Aubin B. THIBODAUX.

No. 721 On November 11, 1828 William RODDY, in consideration of the sum of $600.00 to me, partly advanced in merchandise and partly to be hereafter advanced to me in Thibodauxville by Joseph CHANDLER, of the Parish of Lafourche Interior, in cash and merchandise, as called for and as per entry in his said CHANDLERS’S Store Book, do hereby mortgage and hypothecate the following, negro slaves for life, to wit; Dinah a woman, aged about 28 years, and Esther, a woman aged about 30 years, both healthy and sound in the body and mind, to secure the sum of $600.00, to the said Joseph CHANDLER. Witnessed by Wilson PAGE and Richard GRINAGE.

No. 737 3/473 On November 26, 1828 On November 26, 1828 William RODDY and John CLARK and Thomas LOVE agreed in the following manner, to wit; the said William RODDY and John CLARK by these presents to rent to Mr. Thomas LOVE, the plantation on which they now live, and being the same that they bought of the late Henry S. THIBODAUX, for the term of three years, beginning the First of January next, (1829) for $1,829.00. Witnessed by Joseph DELAPORTE and Thomas HURST.

No.1040 Pg. 120 4/679 On January24, 1831, Madam Josephine HEBERT, wife of Jean Baptiste CAILLOUET and Magdeleine HEBERT, widow Gerasime DESORMEAUX, deceased, residents of the parish of St. Charles, sell, cede, convey, from now and forever, to William RODDY, a piece of land, of about 6 2/3 arpents front, by depth according to the plan and the official report of survey, situated on both banks of Bayou Terrehonne, bounded above by land of widow Cadet LIRREY, and below by land recently sold to Mrs. H. S. THIBODAUX. This land belongs to the vendors, as being heirs of Hypolite HEBERT, their father, deceased. Land was sold in consideration of the sum of $3,000.00, with payments over time. Witnessed by Francois GAUDY and Francois MICHEL.

Conveyance Book G, Part 2.

No. 1723 Pgs. 268-269 5/1052 On July 16, 1835, in St. James Parish, Mrs. Magdeleine HEBERT, widow of Gerosime DESORMEAUX made and constituted Jean Baptiste CAILLOUET her general and special procurator, to whom she gives power to act with William RODDY, to whom she, conjointly with her sister Josephine HEBERT, wife of Jean Baptiste CAILLOUET, sold a piece of land of ten and two-thirds arpents front, by depth of concession, bounded above by land of widow Cadet LANDRY, and below by land of Mrs. Henry S. THIBODAUX, to receive price of sale, and give acquittance and discharge whereof. Witnessed by Eloi MICHEL and Simon URIELL. The above sisters, who sold a piece of land of six and two-thirds arpens front on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, declared that they rescind and annul the said act dated September 12, 1835, because William RODDY was unable to pay for it. Witnessed by A. H. VERRET and Bannon G. THIBODAUX.
