Biography
W. W. Rogers was born about 1844 in Washington County, Tennessee. He was the son of John Rogers and Mary McCracken.
In 1850 the family was living in Haywood County, North Carolina. In the household on the 1850 census are:[1]

W. was killed at the battle of Chancellorsville in Spotsylvania County, Virginia on 2 May 1863. W. never married and had no children.[2]
Sarah Catherine Hartman was not married to W. Rogers; she was married to Rufus S. Rogers.[3] Walter Rogers was their son. Therefore, Sarah Hartman is being removed as wife of W. Rogers and Walter Rogers is being removed as his son.
