Biography

Henry Rogers, son of Henry and Jane, was baptized 09 Dec 1798 [1]

He married Jane Sandoe 26 July 1825 at Illogan (per CFHS). He appeared with his family in the 1841, 1851, and 1861 census at Illogan.

Children of Henry and Jane Rogers bapt. Illogan (per OPC): Jane (1825), Mary (1827), Henry (1829), Samuel (1836), Jane Grace (1839), Thomas (1842). The 1851 census shows all of these children (and no others -- there really was a seven-year gap in the births of his children), plus a youngest son Matthew (born 1845), all born at Illogan, living in Redruth. This record shows Henry's age as 52, which is exactly right -- he turned 53 at the end of 1851.
