Biography

Joseph may be the Joseph Rogers baptised at Illogan on 10 Aug 1816 to parents Richard (a miner) and Maria Rogers of Illogan.^[1] His age would fit for the 1851 census when he was shown as 34.

Joseph worked in Illogan as a tin and copper miner.^[2][3] The family emigrated around 1851 and arrived into the Lake Superior region. .
