She died in 1983, in Walsingham, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 93 and is buried in the Cultus Cemetery,Cultus, Norfolk County.[13]

Pearl's last home was in Walsingham, ON but she spent her final days at St. Williams Nursing Home. She was buried in Cultus-Laylock Cemetery. Emily was always called Pearl.
1st husband, John Melvin Graves Jr. died in 1917 at Matheson, ON. She married Peter Blackstock Towns in 1918 at Iroquois Falls, ON.
