Biography
Jean Baptiste Roi was born on June 18, 1814 in Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon, Bas-Canada, son of Jean-Noël Roy (1780–1853) and Marie-Josephe Fontaine (1785– ).[1]
Jean (25) married Marie Marguerite Fortier (15) (born on July 10, 1824 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Bas-Canada; daughter of Jean Baptiste Fortier and Marie Josephe (Verreau) Verreault) on April 28, 1840 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Bas-Canada.[2] Their daughter was Adèle Roy (~1853– ).
Jean died on February 20, 1896 in Frampton, Québec, aged 81.[3]
