Loretta Elizabeth Rooker was born on April 1, 1907 in Texas, United States, daughter of Jonathan Lee Newton Rooker (1877–1935) and Rosetta J Evans (1879–1922).^[1]

Loretta (16) married Ezelle Hopper (16) (born on March 26, 1907 in Whitewright, Grayson; son of Wylie Columbus Hopper and Lela Myrtle (Baxter) Hopper) on May 5, 1923 in Grayson. Their son was Edwin Albert Hopper (1926–1985).
