Notes written by Ross DAVIDSON, dated March 1976 [forwarded to me by current family member]:

THE FAMILY OF JANE ANN MILLER (1861–1936)
Jane Ann ROSS grew up in the Leith area and married Thomas MILLER, brother of Mary MILLER, who was married to Hardie ROSS, Jane Ann’s brother. Thomas was a Scientific Instrument Maker and the family lived in Glasgow, London and finally in Edinburgh. They had three children: daughter Burgess and sons Alexander and Ross. On the death of Jane Ann’s father in 1897, the MILLERs took in her mother, Euphemia Petrie ROSS. This family looked after that rather demanding woman until her death in 1916.
