CONT CONT I suspect your Peter may be our Pierre (especially because of the dna connection), b. 1801 or 1802 to Francois Xavier Roux/Leroux and Veronique Branchaud at St. Joachim in Chateaugay Quebec. CONT (Francois' father was Jean Roux dit Vadeboncoeur, a soldier from France in 1750, and mother was Judith Aymard, daughter of fur-trader Pierre Aymard. Jean and Judith m. in 1753)_ CONT Francois & Veronique, and young family moved to the St.Regis, Quebec/HogansburghRacquette River, NY area ("Massena") around 1807 or 1808. CONT One family record lists Pierre as married in 1823 in St. Regis, Quebec to Pelagie Claire-Houde, but after that, no other mention of his marriage(s), children, or whereabouts. CONT This is unusual, because Pierre's dozen siblings and many descendents are mostly accounted for, living either in the Massena, NY/Cornwall, Ontario border region, or in the CONT Monroe, Michigan area (where many of the family moved in the 1830s). In fact, many of these families moved back and forth a few times between 1830s and 1870s. CONT Perhaps Pierre settled along the way, to or fro...?
