Biography

Edouard Joseph Roy was born at Saint-Pie, Quebec on Sept. 13, 1873 and he was baptized there the next day. He was the son of Amedee Roy and Emma Rocher and he had also been born in Saint-Pie.

Joseph Edouard Roy married Berthe Labossiere at Ssaint-Pie on February 05, 1918. She was the sixth of seven children and the fourth of five daughter sof Edouard Labossiere and Marie Delphine Coté and had also been born in Saint-Pie. Edouard and Berthe are only known to have had one child, a daughter, Angeline Berthe born at Saint-Pie in 1922.

Edouard Roy died at Saint-Pie on Jan. 3, 1941 and he was buried there four days later. He was 67 years old.

Berthe Labossiere moved to Saint-Hyacinthe and she passed away there on Jan. 9, 1981 at the age of 84 years.
