Pierre Roy was born on 21 Jul 1854 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Pascal parish in Kamouraska. He was the son of Cyrille Roy and his wife Marie Zoë Emond. Sponsors at Pierre's baptism were Pierre Gauvin and Hélène Roy; neither signed the register.
At age 21 Pierre married Marie Bosse on 1 May 1876 in Saint-Louis parish in Fort Kent, Aroostook, Maine, United States. There were nine known children born into this marriage. Pierre died at age 55 on 6 May 1910 in Fort Kent, Aroostook, Maine; he was buried two days later in Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery (Old) in Fort Kent.
