He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Eagle's Lodge, Evansville Masonic Lodge and the Evansville Masonic Chapter.
Survivors are: wife, Emma; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Holder and Mrs. Amelia Mae Wilbur; son, George Frederick; sisters, Mrs. Olga Wyrick and Mrs. Elsie Baronoswsky; brothers, Jacob and John, and six grandchildren.
The body is in Alexander Funeral Home.

Funeral services for George John Rupp, 62, of 2463 West Virginia street, who died Thursday (9 Dec 1948), will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday (13 Dec 1948) afternoon in the Alexander funeral home. Dr. John H. C. Haas will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The Evansville Masonic lodge will be in charge of graveside services.
