Biography

Jessie (or Jerrie) Russell was born in January 1860 in Little Valley, Cattaraugus, New York to Almon Philemon Russell and Mary Furman. ^[1]

After Jessie's father died in 1867, she moved with her mother and brother to Owatonna, Steele, Minnesota. ^[2] Her mother married Albert Riggs, and Jessie was part of their large household in Owatonna in 1875. ^[3]
