Permelia Ryker was born on 21 February 1816 in Jefferson County, Indiana to Gerardus Ryker (1791-1865) and Martishe Willhite (1794-1869). [1]

Permelia Ryker married John W. Carr (1811-1898) on 14 April 1836 in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana. [2]
