Birth
Robert Bernard Sachse was born on 22 June 1926 in Kununoppin, Western Australia, Australia, son of Herbert Frank Sachse. [1]
Military Service
During World War II, Robert Bernard Sachse enlisted on 07 July 1944 and served with the Royal Australian Air Force as Leading Aircraftman. His posting at discharge from duty on 10 May 1948 was at Station HQ Pearce. [1] [2]
In 1946, he was a passenger in an RAAF vehicle which was involved in a serious crash resulting in the fatality of four men. Robert Bernard Sachse, who was seated in the cabin of the "night school tender" next to the driver said that the vehicle was travelling a "little over 30 m.p.h." by the speedometer. After the collision the tender seemed to stop dead. He did not remember talking to the driver prior to the accident[3]

Robert Bernard Sachse married Doris Annie Bullen in 1947 at Perth, Western Australia, Australia. [4]
Death
Robert "Bob" Bernard Sachse passed away 17 March 2017 at Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia. His memorial is located at Geraldton Cemetery and Crematorium, (Memorial Garden No. 3) Utakarra, Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia.[5]
