Biography
Peter Sallis OBE is Notable.
English actor best known for his roles as Norman Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine and the voice of Wallace in the Wallace and Gromit animated films.
Peter J. Sallis was born in Twickenham, Middlesex on 1 February 1921, and his birth was registered in Brentford, Middlesex in the first quarter of 1921[1]. He was the son of Harry Sallis and Dorothy Barnard.
Peter married Elaine Usher in London on 9 February 1957, and their marriage was registered in Marylebone in the first quarter of 1957[2].
Peter was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2007.
Peter died in Northwood, London on 2 June 2017.
