He is noticed, as a Sergeant, in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade as marrying, 27 Oct 1710, Isabella Alett. Gramsuch, maid to Colonel Cunningham's "lady". He is mentioned as being in General Murray's company (Grenadiers) in Murray's Regiment.
In 1717 he is at Ypres, in Captain Marjorybanks' company and appears at the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper on 7 April.[2]
