Marie (Mamie) Sampson was born on 1 Jan 1877 in King William County, Virginia, United States, daughter of Edward Sterling Sampson and Louise/Louisa Unknown. Her father was a prominent member of the Pamunkey Nation.[1] [2]

She married Noah Davis Brown on 18 Apr 1900 in New Kent, Virginia, United States ad they had at least seven children together.[3]

Mamie died on 6 Nov 1959 in Richmond, Virginia, aged 82 and is buried in Second Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Quinton, Virginia.[4] [5]
