She was the daughter of James Sampson, and lived at Ballygroogan as of 1853.
On 19 February 1853 at 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian, she married widower George Moffatt of Ballygroogan. He already had several children, the eldest age 35.

He passed away in 1876.
