Biography

Mary was born about 1827. ^[1] She was the daughter of James Sampson, and lived at Ballygroogan as of 1853.

On 19 February 1853 at 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian, she married widower George Moffatt of Ballygroogan. He already had several children, the eldest age 35. ^{[2] [3]} He passed away in 1876.

Possible death records although perhaps these are both incorrect as some details do not match:

• 1904 Mary Jane, age 62, widow, Ballygroogan; informant Mary Weir, daughter.
• 1914 Mary Jane, age 72, widow, Annaghmore, informant George Moffatt, son.
