Frances Clara Sargant (married name Truscott) was born on 1 January 1875 at Gaffneys Creek, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Selina (Tice) Sargant and George Sargant.^{[citation needed]}

She married John Henry Truscott in 1895 in Bairnsdale, Victoria.^[1] Their children were:

• Henry Melville Hubert Truscott (1896–1987)^[2]
• John Reginald Truscott (1898–1976)^[3]
• Ruby Edna Truscott (1907–2002)^[4]

Frances died on 11 April 1954 in Richmond, Victoria, aged 79 years.^[5]
