From Findagrave: Dan Satterwhite was a tank mechanic in WWII. He was in Germany and Italy during the war. He came home, married, Katherin Leola Heacock in 1946. He was a mechanic, farmer, contractor, pilot, fabulous husband, and loving father. He was a devout christian all of his life from the time God rescued him from captivity during WWII and he promised to serve God all of his life if God would get him home. God kept his promise. So did Dan. He had three children; Diola Irene, Ellen Yvonne, Denzal Roy and adopted one; Shirley Ellen.
