Lydia was the daughter of Francis Saunderson and Anne Basset White.
Lydia married Rev Gilbert Holmes, Dean of Ardfert in 1810.

- married at Bath, the Rev Gilbert Holmes Dean of Ardfert to Lydia, eldest dau of F. Saunderson of Castle Saunderson, co Cavan, esq.
She died in 1856.
Death Notice - The Evening Freeman. July 2, 1856
- June 28, at Malahide. Lydia Waller, relict ol the Very Rev. Gilbert Holmes,. Dean of Ardfert, and eldest daughter of the late Colonel Saunderson of Castle Saunderson, county Cavan.
