Obituary.
MRS. E. J. CROUCHER.
The death occurred at her home in Canowindra on the 13th instant of Mrs. Eliza Jane Croucher, following a lengthy illness. The deceased, aged 75 years, was the second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Sawyer, of Lyndhurst, and was born at Lucknow. She had resided in Canowindra for about 50 years.
Married to Mr. William E. Croucher at Lyndhurst about 57 years ago there were eight children. Shortly after their marriage the couple took up residence at Gallymont where they resided for a few years and afterwards moved to Canowindra where Mrs. Croucher's husband and one daughter predeceased her. The family are: William and Alfred (Canowindra), Malcolm (Eugowra), and Hamilton (Bondi) Mrs. S. Rice (Canowindra), Mrs. E. Moore (Sydney) and Mrs. R. Jones Canowindra.
The funeral, which was very largely attended, took place to the Presbyterian portion of the Canowindra cemetery on the 14th instant. Rev. Watson (Cowra) assisted by Rev. Fleming, officiating. [3]
