Frank Herbert Macaulay Saxby was born on 1st August 1911 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia. He was the fourth and youngest son of Edwin Saxby and Isabella Belford. [1]
On 4th July 1941 at Mosman, on Sydney's northern shore, Frank enlisted in the Commonwealth Miltary Force (Militia) for military service within Australia during the Second World War. His final posting was to the Signals Company 18th Division, before being discharged on 16th August 1944. [2]
Frank married Isabel Aitchison in 1942 in Marrickville, New South Wales. [3]
