Ellen (Scarf) Dawson was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Ellen was born in 1853, the daughter of William Scarf and Susan Pamment. [1]
In 1869, Ellen Scarf married William Dawson in the Colony of Victoria.[2]
Diamond Wedding Notice: DAWSON— SCARF.— (Diamond Wedding.) — On the 2nd December, 1869, at Madden's Flat, Mortchup, by the Rev. William Campbell, William, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Dawson, of Footscray, to Ellen, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Scarf, of Snake Valley, Carngham. Present address: "Linton," Williamstown Road, Yarraville. [3]

Mary (Mrs. Edmondson), Amelia (Mrs. Verity, dec.), Alice (dec.), Elsie (Mrs. Scarff) and Horace, born at Geelong, Victoria; aged 94 years. Our wonderful mother. DAWSON.— On May 18, at her daughter's residence, 293 Williamstown-road, Yarravllle, Ellen, dearly loved mother of Amelia (deceased), mother-in-law of Walter, and loving grandma of Walter, Millie (Mrs. Dunkley), Ida (Mrs. Watson) and Albert, aged 94 years. Our wonderful mother at rest. —Inserted by son-in-law, Walter Verity. DAWSON.— On May 18, Ellen, dearly loved grandma of Winnie and Harold Dickinson, and great-grandma of Joy.
